Hike, Bike and Paddle: The Ultimate South Florida National Park Challenge

December 2015 – The Tamiami Trail Triathlon is back with four ranger-led programs this season, starting this month. The triathlon combines three park activities into a day of adventure: a 3.5 mile canoe trip in Ten Thousand Islands, a 3.5 mile hike in Big Cypress, and a 15-mile bike ride in Shark Valley. Anyone can do the triathlon on their own, at any time, at their own pace (take a day, a week or a month) but ranger-guided triathlons happen only four times this season, on December 20, January 24, February 21 and March 6. Details and reservations: 239-695-3311. Learn more about the Tamiami Trail Triathlon here: https://www.nps.gov/bicy/planyourvisit/tamiami-trail-triathlon.htm
