The final ranger-led Tamiami Trail Triathlon of the season takes place Sunday April 2 starting at the Gulf Coast Visitor Center at Everglades National Park with a round-trip paddle to Sandfly Island. The paddle trip is followed by a hike in Big Cypress and a bike ride in Shark Valley. Folks who finish all three legs receive a t-shirt, compliments of the South Florida National Parks Trust. Join an Everglades National Park ranger on Saturday May 6 and watch an evening meteor shower on this 15-mile bike ride to the Shark Valley observation tower and back. The ride leaves from the Shark Valley Visitor Center. The start time will be given when you make your reservation. Your own bicycle is required. Reservation will be taken one week prior to the event.
