We invite you to volunteer with us in Biscayne National Park for National Public Lands Day 2018 to help us #KeepBiscayneBeautiful! We will be cleaning up marine debris from the mangrove shoreline South of Black Point Marina.  We are looking for volunteers to bring their own paddlecraft (kayaks, canoes, SUPs, etc) to access the shallow mangrove shoreline AND/OR volunteers that have shallow-draft motorized vessels to help transport garbage back to shore. Beyond the Icons: America’s Lesser-Known National Parks, the newest exhibit in Biscayne National Park’s Dante Fascell Visitor Center Gallery, features 25 prints with corresponding stories by Sandra Ramos. She wants the images to educate and engage audiences with the importance of these public lands, while highlighting National Park Service sites that are often overlooked in favor of much larger parks like Yellowstone, Yosemite and Grand Canyon.
