Members Outing: Sunset Bike Ride in Shark Valley

Join the SFNPT for a twilight bike ride this month at Shark Valley, one of two Experience Your Backyard programs for members in March. We'll gather at the Shark Valley Visitor Center and ride to the park's observation tower in time for sunset (15 miles roundtrip). The program is free for members and guests, but space is limited. Explore the night sky with a ranger during the last Star Party of the season at Big Cypress National Preserve, an official International Dark Sky Place and one of the best places in South Florida to see the Milky Way. The program is free and open to the public. Presentations will include constellation tours and telescope viewing (weather permitting) of astronomical objects including stars, star clusters, planets, nebulae, and galaxies. The final ranger-led Tamiami Trail Triathlon of the season takes place Sunday April 2 starting at the Gulf Coast Visitor Center at Everglades National Park with a round-trip paddle to Sandfly Island.
