The South Florida National Parks Trust works in partnership with foundations,
corporations and organizations to support South Florida’s national parks.
The SFNPT thanks the following park partners.
Tequesta Bay is one of the SFNPT’s newest corporate partners. By contributing to the SFNPT, Tequesta Bay supports Biscayne National Park, the largest marine park in the national park system, and the marine science education programs that bring thousands of South Florida school children to the park each year.
The SFNPT established the Shark Valley Stewardship Fund in January 2016 with the generous support of Shark Valley Tram Tours. Chairman Wayne Rassner presented a $20,000 check to Everglades Superintendent Pedro Ramos that month at the Everglades After Dark event.
The Naples Children & Education Foundation is supporting outdoor science education programs for 6th-grade students in the Big Cypress National Preserve this year with a first-time grant of $46,000 to SFNPT.
Thousands of students explore the Everglades each year on ranger-guided field trips through Shark Valley, with funding provided by The Miami Foundation. For many students, these field trips represent their first adventure in the Everglades.
Peacock Foundation, Inc. supports the Everglades Environmental Education Program through its annual grants program. The foundation’s grant funding helps to pay for the seasonal rangers who lead field trips and overnight camping programs inside the park for thousands of South Florida school students annually.
