THE SOUTH FLORIDA NATIONAL PARKS TRUST

The South Florida National Parks Trust (SFNPT) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization established in 2002 to support four national parks in South Florida – Everglades, Biscayne and Dry Tortugas National Parks and Big Cypress National Preserve.

As the official, nonprofit partner of the National Park Service in South Florida, the SFNPT raises money from individuals, businesses and foundations to support park programs and projects in five critical areas:

  • Environmental Education

  • Resource Protection

  • Visitor Services

  • Volunteer Activities

  • Community Engagement

The SFNPT receives no government funding. We rely instead on the support of private donors to fund projects that enhance the experience of park visitors and allow the National Park Service to better protect and preserve South Florida’s national parks.

Since its inception, the SFNPT has successfully funded more than 100 projects representing a combined investment of more than $6 million in South Florida’s national parks.

By working with the National Park Service to identify and fund projects that benefit South Florida’s national parks, their visitors and the communities that surround these special places, the SFNPT seeks to win new friends for our national parks and promote a legacy of stewardship in South Florida.

You can support our work on behalf of South Florida’s national parks by making a tax-deductible donation today.
